Question:
What is Passage mode?
Answer:
Passage mode is a programmable app feature that allows the user to keep the door unlocked for a scheduled period of time; at the end of the scheduled time, the lock will auto-lock. For example, if you run a business and want the lock to stay open during business hours, you can schedule it to not auto-lock from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
To adjust passage mode, you will need to be near the lock via Bluetooth range. However, if the lock is connected to a Sifely Gateway, the mode can be adjusted remotely via the Sifely Pro App or the Sifely webportal.
Previously, the lock had to be electronically opened at the beginning of the scheduled passage mode, but we now have a firmware update that will allow the Sifely S (Blue Box version) to automatically open at the beginning of the scheduled time and auto-lock at the end. This firmware update includes version 6.4.24.230810 and all later versions.
How to set a Passage mode:
1. Tap on the lock settings.
2. Tap on Passage Mode.
3. Turn on Passage and set up the desired schedule.
Note:
- During passage mode, the lock can still be locked by pressing and holding the # or lock symbol on the lock keypad or via the app. If it is unlocked again, it will stay unlocked until the end of the schedule.
- Users can only create one set time schedule.
- At the beginning of Passage mode, the lock will automatically unlock and lock at the end of the set time schedule.
- For your convenience, if you are using a gateway, there will be an unlock notification sent to your phone at the beginning of the scheduled passage mode time (see illustration below).
- Additionally, the color scheme of the font on the lock page will appear orange (see illustration below).
