Why is the fingerprint sensor of my Sifely X Smart lock getting hot?
Answer:
There are some scenarios where the Sifely X Smart lock experience issues with the fingerprint sensor getting hot, which also causes more battery consumption. But this is not a common issue on our Sifely Smart lock with a fingerprint sensor.
For the newly installed lock:
Possible cause of the issue:
- Manufacturing issue
- The fingerprint sensor is not allowing the lock to go into power-saving mode.
Recommendation:
- Immediately contact our Sifely Customer service via email cs@sifely.com or message us at sifely.com for further assistance and to arrange a replacement as part of the remedy for this issue. Please prepare the information below for the replacement process:
- Shipping address
- Order number
- Batch number
- We may request the lock be returned so that we can conduct further investigation for future improvements. Our CS team will provide a return label.
For the lock has been working before experiencing the fingerprint sensor getting hot.
Possible cause of the issue:
- The lock was exposed to water or rain, causing the fingerprint sensor to malfunction.
- Broken or damaged wire connector.
- Other unknown causes.

- Check the Wire connector for any damage.
- Check if the lock was exposed to any water or rain.
