The battery charge quickly drains with a new battery.
Battery drain is constant, even after replacing old batteries with new ones.
There are some possible causes of this issue. Here are some reasons and possible solutions to help resolve the issue with the deadlock.
For a newly installed lock.
Possible cause of the issue:
- Battery installed incorrectly.
- Manufacturing issue.
- The fingerprint sensor is consuming the battery even when not used during power-saving mode, causing the battery to drain quickly.
Here is the recommended troubleshooting step.
- Check if the battery was installed correctly (Positive and negative sides).
- Contact our Sifely Customer service via email cs@sifely.com or message us at sifely.com for further assistance and to arrange a replacement as part of the remedy for this issue. Please prepare the information below for the replacement process:
- Shipping address
- Order number
- Batch number
- We might request for the lock return in order for us to conduct further investigation for future improvements. Our CS team will provide a return label.
The lock was working fine before experiencing the battery constantly draining.
Example: The Battery shows 100% first, but after a few days or weeks, it immediately deflated.
Possible cause of the issue:
- Wire connection issue or damage.
- The battery compartment was broken or rusted.
- The lock was exposed to water or rain, causing it to malfunction.
- Battery loose.
Checklist:
- Check the Wire connector for any damage.
- Check if the battery compartment is not damaged (E.g., Loose Spring, rusted, etc.).
Here are the recommended troubleshooting steps.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the wire connector between the front panel and back panel of the lock.
- Monitor the lock for a few days if the issue with the battery drain still persists.
