My Lock is not responding at all. The keypad and fingerprint sensor are dead.
There are some possible causes of this issue. Here are some reasons and possible solutions to help resolve the issue with the deadlock.
For a newly installed lock.
Possible cause of the issue:
- Manufacturing issue
- Wrong installation process
- Broken wire connector
- Battery compartment is broken (No power supply)
Checklist:
- Ensure that the Wire connector (power chord) is properly connected.
- Ensure there are new batteries within the lock for optimal conditions
- Check if the battery was properly installed for the positive and negative terminals.
- Try plugging in the power bank or laptop into the USB backup port located at the bottom of the outside panel of your lock and check if the keypad lights up.
Here are the recommended troubleshooting steps.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the wire connector between the front panel and back panel of the lock. (This requires lock reinstallation)
- Take out the 4 AA batteries for a minute and then place them back in again after a minute.
The lock was working before experiencing the deadlock issue.
Possible cause of the issue:
- Keypad damaged.
- Issue with the connection between the front and back panels of the lock.
- Broken wire (Electronically damaged).
Checklist:
- Ensure that the Wire connector (Power chord) is properly connected.
- Ensure there are new batteries within the lock for optimal conditions.
- Try using the App to unlock/ lock the lock.
- Try plugging in the power bank or laptop into the USB backup port located at the bottom of the outside panel of your lock and check if the keypad lights up.
