Why do the screws from step 6 of installation not work? Why do these screws not work?
Answer:
We’re aware of an installation issue affecting some Sifely S and Sifely St Smart Locks manufactured in October. Due to a manufacturing issue, the screws provided for Step 6 (securing the back panel to the mounting plate) may be too short and unable to properly catch the mounting plate threads.
If your lock is affected, here is how we can help you.
Step 1: Install your lock temporarily
- Inside the backup screw bag included in the box, you’ll find one screw that can be used to secure the back panel as a temporary solution. This will allow you to complete the installation while waiting for the correct screws.
Step 2: Contact Sifely customer service.
- Contact us either via phone 805-519-8895 or via email cs@sifely.com with your order number and shipping address. We will send you a screw pack with the correct screws to your address right away. If you need more than one screw pack, please let us know.
Step 3: Need the Screws Immediately?
- If you prefer not to wait for the replacement screws, you can purchase the correct screw at nearest local hardware stores near you, such as:
- Home Depot
- Lowes
- Harbor freight
- Ace Hardware
