The battery percentage of my lock is not updating after replacing it with a new one.
Example: The battery still shows a low level even after replacing it with a brand new battery.
The battery percentage will automatically be updated after replacing the battery. However, there are some cases where the battery of your Sifely Smart Lock will not automatically update even if you replace it with a new battery.
With this, here is the basic recommended troubleshooting step that may help update your lock battery percentage.
- Try manually updating your lock battery level using the Sifely Smart Lock App. Refer to this article on how to update your lock battery. How to update the battery of my Sifely Smart Locks?
If the above basic troubleshooting step did not help to resolve this issue with the battery level, please try calibrating your battery level manually using the Lock Keypad code and Admin Passcode.
Important Note: Please ensure that the battery is brand new when using this method. Using a used battery can cause a false battery reading.
Step 1. Find out the “Admin Passcode” by going to the lock "Settings" > "Device info" > "Admin Passcode".
Step 2. Write down the Admin Passcode and head over to the lock's keypad.
Example: 112543
Step 3. Input *59# on the lock keypad and wait for the lock voice to say, “Please input the administrator’s passcode.”
Step 4. On the lock keypad, enter the passcode that you wrote down immediately, followed by #1#
Example: *59#112543#1#
If everything was entered correctly, you should hear the lock say, “Input successful.”
