Why do the screws from step 6 of installation not work? Why do these screws not work?
Answer:
For certain locks produced in October, there was an manufacturing issue that resulted in the screws in Step 6 of installation not being usable. This will affect some of the Sifely S and Sifely St Smart Locks.
If your lock is affected, here is how we can help you.
- In the backup screw bag that came with lock, there is 1 screw that can be used to secure that back panel to the mounting plate as a temporary measure.
- Contact us either via phone 805-519-8895 or via email cs@sifely.com with your order number and shipping address. We will send you a screw pack with the correct screws to your address right away. If you need more than one screw pack, please let us know.
- If you cannot wait to receive the screws, you can find this particular screw at local hardware stores such as Home Depot. Look for this screw “Metric M4-0.7 x 16 mm Flat Head Phillips Drive Machine Screws”.
